Hello! Thanks for visiting my page, my name is Daniel Friis and I'm a senior at the University of Oregon. I'm pursuing a degree at the School of Journalism and Communications in Public Relations while also minoring in Sports Business and Economics. I've accumulated basic knowledge of the sports business industry while managing Club Baseball at UO and working for ball clubs like the Springfield Drifters and Eugene Emeralds. Contributing to numerous publications like Ethos Magazine, The Daily Emerald, and Lane United while also getting to expand my writing and journalism techniques within each position has helped me grow tremendously as a writer. I've also been fortunate enough to grow my social media presence and knowledge while running the Club Baseball Instagram account, working as a student social media ambassador for BuckedUp, and researching and reaching out to influencers while interning for the Childhood Cancer Society. Finally, I've recently delved into the audio journalism industry as a member of 88.1 KWVA Sports, a Public Address Announcer at a local high school, and the creator of N.B.A Talk, a basketball podcast of mine. I've been told by numerous colleagues and teachers to gain as much experience in all the different kinds of journalism as I could, and that's been a goal of mine all throughout college. With that being said, I'm looking for a job in either the sports business or sports writing post-college. Some interesting facts about me are that I'm a master lego builder and I even have a lego TikTok account, I've had Celiac Disease since I was 7 years old and I like to fish and be active in my free time. Please don't be afraid to contact me through any of the social media links below or by phone and email at (650)339-9068 and danielgfriis@gmail.com. Thanks again for your visit!
